Currently,
Nintendo Gamenet is recruiting…
As
a review writer, you will be tasked to write reviews for
games on the GBA and/or the GC. You are not required to
write reviews for both formats. Owning the machine/s in
question is a must. A sample of your work will be
required, please see the requirements below.
Preview
Writers-
As a preview writer, you will be tasked
to write previews for games on the GBA and/or the GC. You
are not required to write previews for both formats.
Owning the machine in question is not a strict requirement
(although it will be useful) but a stern knowledge of the
game in question, from reading info, or getting to play it
(if you are lucky enough to visit any trade shows) is. A
sample of your work will be required, please see the
requirements below.
Editorial
Writer-
As an editorial writer, you will be
tasked with writing editorials on issues within the video
games industry, in particular issues related to Nintendo.
It is important that you have a strong knowledge of the
coming and goings within the industry and have the ability
to keep an open mind. A sample of your work will be
required, please see the requirements below.
Before applying for any of the jobs, please take time to
read our requirements listed below. People
who can not match the requirements will not be hired.
Requirements
Submission
of work must occur at the time of application, and must
be written in the given text field or sent to jobs@nintendogamenet.com.
The submitted sample must either be written into the e-mail, or
sent as an attached Microsoft Word .DOC or something
simple like a .TXT.
Upon
a successful application, the new staff member must
continue to write at least one article once a month.
This is the standard expected for all the jobs listed
above (preview, review and editorial writer).
In
addition to these requirements please consider the
following…
It
is possible to apply for more than one of the jobs
listed above. However please consider that the workload
will be greater.
Although
Nintendo Gamenet is a fan site, we will not consider
applicants who we consider to be what the industry likes
to call ‘fan boys’ (that is people that bash the
other consoles for no real reason). Here at NG we enjoy
gaming in general and acknowledge the merits of the
other machines available.
There
will be NO wages for any staff, although you will still
own all of the work that you write. People who work here
do so freely, and as such can leave as they see fit.
There will be no notice period required (although
letting us know before you leave would be a lot nicer).
Nintendo
Gamenet will consider any applicant regardless of
country of origin and ethnic background. The only
requirement is that you have a strong understanding of
the English language, as this is the language we publish
our work in.
If
you have any questions or queries about the jobs, or the
requirements listed above please e-mail this jobs@nintendogamenet.com.
