Evil or Darkness?

11-18-2000

If I wasn't able to get both, which game should I choose? Resident Evil or Eternal Darkness? I want the scariest of the two, as well as the longest game. That's all.
  - Andrew K.

Paul Responds: Well it really depends on what kind of horror you like. We all know that RE has the suspenseful horror that makes you jump from your seat. And ED has psychological horror where it makes your character think he/she is going crazy and may even do a number on you. On the other hand if you've played the original RE before (or any other RE games) you know what to expect, but the remake is 70% new. Or you could rent them both to see how they are, or you could try Resident Evil Zero.

Cubes Versus Boxes
Hi, what I want to talk about is all this XBox bashing. I don't know why you Nintendo fan boys think your little lunch box is better than the XBox. Let me lay it straight, the XBox is the best system to come along since the beginning of gaming. With a hard drive and broadband and the ability to play your own music when you're playing a game is probably the best feature since the CD and with Rare on board how better can things get? And look at the GameCube graphics, how kiddy can you get. And lets not forget about all those games that came out last year and the ones coming out this year. Have fun with your teletubby handle, while you're playing with your plumber and cartoon elf I'll be playing Halo. This is a nice looking site, I only come here for the GBA stuff, it would be better if it was a XBox site.
  - The Scot of Langley

Paul Responds: Well we never have ever bashed XBox on the site. Actually we don't mind it. And with Rare developing for XBox things seem better for the black box. Both consoles have many games to offer, but when it comes to top quality, you have to admit Nintendo has got in the bag. Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker got a perfect score from Famitsu, who have a reputation for being harsh reviews. So if that doesn't say something I don't know what else could.

The War has Begun

Do you think GameCube will stay ahead of x-box in the console wars?
 - Addison

Paul Responds:
That's a tough question. I wouldn't say that the GameCube is that much ahead of the XBox. The so - called console wars are really hard to predict. It really depends on many factors, how the next few months goes for the GameCube. Besides Wind Waker in March, not much is known about this year that is really a killer app. But who knows what E3 2003 will bring. Maybe Mario Kart Online? We'll have to wait and see. But I believe one thing that will really do well for GameCube is online, once Nintendo gets fully online, hopefully a clear winner will be visible. But then again, there is no point in arguing about the console wars. The winner doesn't always seem the best to everybody. Some people may like the consoles that came in second or third.

What will the future bring?
Great site, I saw your New Years greetings update and you mentioned some big happening in the future. What did you mean? What's going to happen? I hope its something good.
 - Legolas McCloud

Paul Responds: Hmm... the future. What will the future bring for the site? Well it is big, well not that big, but it is important and it is good. But I can't say what it is. Remember no one should know too much about the future.
